Laura and Nick are pure superheroes. They planned this wedding from 2300 miles away, during a pandemic, and came out of it still loving each other AND still excited for their day.
And what a wedding it was! Laura was kind enough to share, in her own words, some reflections on her wedding day:
Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. Of course there were things that didn't go as planned - for example, the snapped Valentino heel on the glass I was supposed to step on during the ceremony, was just one more memory that we savor. But for all the things that didn't go as planned, 100 things went even better than expected. Our friends and family stood up and cheered as I literally danced down the aisle for the ceremony. We both teared up as we recited our vows, and after a short, 10 minute ceremony (complete with passed cocktails), we were met with cheers and applause as we danced back up the aisle.
The reception was a blur of dancing, fabulous food, a great band, and laughter. After a year of quarantine, our guests craved socialization and left it all on the dance floor.
I married my best friend on May 21st, 2021 in Nashville, TN. I am so grateful to Twila's Photography, City Winery, The DownTown Band, Blush and Honey, and Modern Vintage Events for creating the most beautiful celebration of that love.
Thanks for having me along to capture some of those happy moments for you, Laura & Nick! I know I will remember this day for years to come.
